Three people were killed and 17 were injured after a passenger bus collided with a UV Express, a taxi, and five motorcycles along Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City on Monday night.

According to RH Val Gonzales, the driver said the bus lost its brake while driving along Commonwealth Avenue, and hit the row of motorcycles before colliding with the UV Express and taxi.
The bus reportedly came from Sapang Palay in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan and the destination was supposedly in Quezon Avenue.
Based on the preliminary report from Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Traffic Sector 5, one rider died on the spot and two passengers died in the hospital.
Eight UV Express passengers were injured while one of the crashed riders, James Dela Cruz, sustained a minor injury.
The right side of the UV Express was reportedly destroyed.
The bus driver is currently detained at QCPD Traffic Sector 5 and will face a complaint of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicides, multiple injuries, and damage to property.
