A total of 180 families or 543 persons in Region 2 - Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) were pre-emptively evacuated amid the heavy rain and flood brought by Tropical Storm Florita, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Tuesday.

In NDRRMC’s 8 am situational report, the breakdown per province showed that 70 families or 152 persons have been evacuated in Region 2 - Cagayan Valley and 110 families or 391 persons in CAR.

Three roads in Region 5 - Bicol Region are not passable due to rain-induced landslides and eight roads are also blocked in Cordillera.

While one bridge in Cagayan is also reportedly closed.

It also reported that about 392 security personnel were assigned to evacuation centers in Regions 1 and 2.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) District Northern Luzon has been deployed to help the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSW) Region 1 in repacking of relief supplies.

In a Facebook post, it said it repacked about 1,500 family food packs with the help of Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and the army to support the department's humanitarian assistance and disaster response.

In PAGASA’s weather bulletin as of 2 pm, the center of the tropical storm made a landfall in the vicinity of Alcala, Cagayan.

The weather bureau placed the northern portion of Ilocos Norte, Apayao, the southern portion of Babuyan Islands, and mainland Cagayan, the northeastern portion of Isabela under Signal no. 3.
