A seven-year-old girl in Tondo, Manila died after being beaten by her own father.
According to Sherwin Alfaro's report in MBC Network News, the child's grandmother went to the authorities to complain about the suspect, Carlo Diannio Lloren, for beating his own daughter, which led to her death.
Based on the Manila Police District's preliminary investigation, the victim was assaulted because she had bought bread to eat instead of giving her father's change back from the store.
The child's grandmother said that the incident happened on August 18 in the morning, until the child complained of body pain at night.
On August 22, the victim was sent to Tondo Medical Center but unfortunately lost her life on August 26.
The grandmother said she has no time to report urgently as she is busy with her grandchild's funeral.
Lloren was allegedly a drug user and is now being hunted by authorities.
