The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) extended their support for the affected individuals of Typhoon Carina through the One Meal Substinence Allowance.
In a statement by the AFP Chief of Staff, General Romeo Brawner Jr., he said that members of the AFP would be donating an equivalent of one meal from their subsistence allowance, which amounts to P50.00 per member.
“The collective effort and sacrifices reflect the AFP’s commitment to aiding those affected by this disaster, demonstrating solidarity and compassion during these challenging times,” General Brawner concluded.
The AFP has deployed various Search, Rescue, and Retrieval teams across Metro Manila and Southern and Northern Luzon, providing humanitarian assistance and disaster response efforts. Several teams are still deployed in affected areas around the country for those struck by the typhoon.
