Another collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA will happen as Alden Richards and Julia Montes will star in a romantic-drama film titled "Five Break-Ups And A Romance."
The brain behind films like "Sid & Aya," "Meet Me in St. Gallen," "On Vodka, Beers, and Regrets," and "Ulan," Irene Emma Villamor, will write and direct the upcoming movie.
While the Julia-Alden pairing is an unusual one, Irene noted that both are good actors who are dedicated to their craft and eager to collaborate with her and the entire production team to bring this story to life, so fans of both stars can expect them to give it their all.
She also expressed her enthusiasm at working with the couple, highlighting their natural connection and acting abilities.
To produce the film, CS Studios (led by Cornerstone Entertainment President Erickson Raymundo) will collaborate with GMA Pictures (led by GMA Films President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and GMA First Vice President for Program Management Joey Abacan) and Myriad (Alden Richards' production company). Former Star Cinema Managing Director Malou N. Santos is also a consultant on the project.
Meanwhile, "Five Break-Ups and A Romance" is a romantic-drama film that aspires to take the conventional Filipino romance genre to a higher, more mature level.
The video explores the complexity of modern romance and relationships. The modern love story will be set against the sparkling skyscrapers of Singapore and Manila's Bonifacio Global City.
