Appari in Cagayan experienced the highest heat index in the country with 49°C on Sunday, May 12, according to PAGASA.

Based on the 5-day computed and 2-day forecast of the weather bureau, Appari, Cagayan, was followed by Roxas City, Capiz, with 47°C, Laoag City in Ilocos Norte, and Dagupan City in Pangasinan with 46°C.
Meanwhile, Appari Cagayan is still seen to have the highest heat index, dropping to 47°C, on May 13 followed by Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, and Dagupan Pangasinan with 46°C.
A total of 36 areas in the country will experience a dangerous heat index on May 13, according to PAGASA.
Pagasa said the danger level would likely cause heat cramps and exhaustion, while heat stroke is probable with continued heat or sun exposure.
