A total of 9,916 bar examinees are expected for this year, Hosaka said in a separate statement on Monday.
Initially, there were 10,075 approved applicants but he said 105 individuals had backed out.
“I don’t know the reasons for their withdrawal. I believe a formal notice would have to be sent to the Office of the Bar Confidant,” he added.
In an earlier bar bulletin, the SC said the use of personal laptops with a secure program, instead of the traditional pen and paper for taking the exams, would still be implemented this year.
The 2022 bar exams will be held in 14 regions in the country.
In the National Capital Region (NCR), testing centers are located in Northern and Southern Manila, Pasay City, Quezon City, and Taguig City. While in Luzon, testing sites are in Baguio City, Benguet, Lipa City in Batangas, and Naga City in Camarines Sur.
In Mindanao, testing centers are designated in Northern and Southern Cebu City and Tacloban City, Leyte in the Visayas; Cagayan de Oro City, Davao City, and Zamboanga City.
