President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. was never part of the narco-list of the Duterte administration, Senator Ronald 'Bato' Dela Rosa confirmed on Wednesday.
During his stint as the Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, Dela Rosa revealed that President Marcos' name was never on the list of personalities involved in the illegal drug trade.
"Wala akong nakita. May mga chismis lang, pero sa aking mga listahan noong ako ay Chief PNP, wala akong nakita," Dela Rosa said ina radio interview, refuting the statement made by former president Rdoriogo Roa Duterte.
Duterte on Sunday alleged that Marcos was into illegal drugs and was even included in the watchlist of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). However, this was belied by the agency, saying that Marcos' name was never on their narco list.
When asked if Marcos was ever investigated nor suspected of illegal drugs, the former PNP chief said: “Wala. Hindi namin siya inimbestigahan.”
