Two high-value drug suspects turned over more than PHP30 million in suspected shabu in two separate operations on Black Saturday in Cebu's bridge cities of Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue, regional police said on Monday.
According to the Central Visayas Police Regional Office, 3.1 kilos of shabu worth PHP 21 million were confiscated from Pamela Salise Legaspi, 43, of Cagwait, Surigao del Sur, who was temporarily staying in Barangay Tipolo in Mandaue City.
Moreover, PRO-7 chief Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin said that Legaspo's name appeared during an intelligence exchange via the crime information database and incidence monitoring center (CIDIMC), which led to a combined operation in Barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.
On the same day, agents from Mandaue City police's narcotics enforcement unit apprehended Romina Ramas Perez, 44, of Barangay Guinacot, Danao City, during a sting operation in Barangay Maguikay, Mandaue City.
Perez turned over 1.5 kilos of suspected shabu with a street value of PHP 10.2 million.
The PDEA-7 mentioned that the drug evidence has been sent for chemical analysis.
Meanwhile, Legaspo and Perez will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, often known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
