Jennie of the K-pop girl group BLACKPINK issued an apology on Instagram on Wednesday for cutting short her performance during their Melbourne, Australia concert last June 11.
The girl group recently held their “Born Pink” world tour at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on June 10 and 11.
Fan videos taken during the concert showed the 27-year-old idol leaving the stage while performing their song "Lovesick Girls." She never went back after it.
Her label YG Entertainment explained that Jennie “was unable to complete the stage due to her deteriorating [health] condition.” And that even though she wanted to continue performing, she was advised by medical professionals to rest.
Eagle-eyed fans also noticed an IV patch on the idols arm while she was performing, prompting to speculate even more on Jennie's condition.
Days after the incident, she took to Instagram to apologize for not finishing the show, assuring BLINKs that she is recovering.
“Dear Melbourne Blinks, I'm so sorry i wasnt able to finish the show on Sunday. I'm doing my best to recover atm [at the moment]. Your understanding and support means the world to me. Thank you to everyone who came to our Melbourne show. Love you guys,” she posted on her Instagram Stories.
