The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) and the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Subic recently met to review initiatives and improve collaboration.
Last June 8, BOC-PPort of Subic District Collector Carmelita Talusan and SBMA Chairman and Administrator Jonathan D. Tan bared their commitment to promoting an ideal business environment, expanding trade facilitation, and maintaining efficient customs processes within the Port of Subic during the meeting.
They had a constructive discussion about many areas of customs operations and border protection.
Moreover, the discussions underlined the importance of developing a smooth and transparent system that fosters corporate growth, attracts investments, and contributes to regional economic development while also following and implementing the President's directions.
Both organizations expressed gratitude for the meeting's favorable outcome and vowed to improve their coordination and explore new solutions.
The BOC (Port of Subic) and the SBMA collaborate to facilitate commerce, encourage investment, and establish Subic as a premier commercial and logistics port in the region.
Talusan and the Port of Subic team will continue to engage with other government agencies and stakeholders who support BOC Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio and President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.'s reform measures.
