Senator Christopher "Bong" Go slammed retired PCol. and former Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PSCO) general manager Royina Garma's statement on the war on drugs rewards system.

In a press release on Saturday, October 12, the Senator made a response to Garma's written affidavit read before the Quad Committee. According to him, it was a "clear divisionary tactic to muddle the trust issue that Garma is facing - her participation in an alleged murder plot."

Go also called for the Senate to conduct an impartial investigation of the allegations against him and others.

"Malicious and unsubstantiated statements should have no place in any credible investigation," Go said.

He reiterated that the public has the right to know the truth. However, he said it is crucial to validate the information's origin before revealing it.

"Kilala n'yo po ako. Mas gusto kong magtrabaho at magserbisyo lamang sa kapwa ko Pilipino pero kung sariling pangalan ko na ang nadudungisan, hindi ako papayag dyan," he ended.

On Friday, the Quad Comm resumed its inquiry on the extrajudicial killings during former President Rodrigo Duterte's term. Garma revealed in a tearful testimony how the war on drugs paralleled the Davao template on payment and rewards system.

Among other police officials named, Garma repeatedly mentioned Go, as one of those responsible for the war on drugs operations in the country.

Garma stated that officials reported to the senator for inclusion in their weekly report and requests for refunds of operational expenses.
