Cebu Pacific announced on Friday, July 7 that it will eliminate the expiration date of travel fund, starting August.
In an interview during DZRH’s Damdaming Bayan, Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao announced that passengers could now easily avail the non-expiration travel fund by signing up their MyCebuPacific account.
“Dati po ang expiration data ng Travel Fund ay anim na buwan, ngayon kung ikaw ay mayroong MyCeb account, ang iyong travel fund ay wala na pong expiration date,” Lao said.
Aside from this, he mentioned that when passengers encounter cancelled flights, they will be given other options such as free rebooking within 30 days and refund through bank account.
The Cebu Pacific President clarified that rebooking is free, contrary to the allegations that the airline earns millions of profits from rebooking flights.
“Matagal ng polisiya na may sinusundan tungkol sa rebooking in particular sa mga cancelled flights. Wala pong bayad ang rebooking fee,” said Lao.
Meanwhile, he apologized to passengers who experiences cancelled flights, and promised to provide "safe affordable and reliable flights".
