by Mary Antalan14 May 2024

Qualified government workers will receive a midyear bonus, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) confirmed on Tuesday, May 14.

In a statement, Budget Secretary Amenah "Mina" Pangandaman reminded government agencies and offices of the timely release of the said bonus, which will begin on May 15.

“As always, we remind all government agencies and offices to ensure the prompt and timely release of bonuses to their employees, in accordance with our existing rules and regulations. This will begin on May 15,” said Pangandaman.

According to DBM, the amount of the midyear bonus is one month of basic pay for the entitled government workers as of May 15.

Personnel who have worked at least four months from July 1 of the previous year to May 15 of the current year are qualified for the midyear bonus.

DBM also noted that government employees must still be employed by the government as of May 15 and should have received at least a satisfactory score in the last or applicable performance rating period.

All civilian personnel, including regular, casual, and contractual employees, are included in the bonus.
