Filipina skateboarder Margielyn Didal secured a ticket to the upcoming Olympics following her performance in the World Skate Championships in Rome, Italy.

The Skateboarding Association of the Philippines announced on Saturday, June 5, that Didal qualified for the Olympics even though the formal confirmation will happen after the World Championship Finals.

Even though Didal failed to make it to the finals of the tournament in Rome, she earned a slot in the Olympics after claiming the no. 13 spot in world rankings.

The top 16 athletes in her event qualify to the Olympics.
