The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday provided evacuees with medication, hygiene kits, and some means to acquire clean water at a time of major loss wreaked by the deluge of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.
Representatives of the DOH Health Emergency Response Team from various regions gave medical consultations, different sorts of medication, and hygiene kits following an initial assessment. They ensured evacuees had a way to maintain personal cleanliness and sanitation, as well as access clean water by providing disinfectants, chlorine granules, and aquatabs.
Some local Emergency Operations Centers and Patient Navigation Referral units are accessible 24/7 to monitor areas in need of additional assistance.
