BHW Party-list Rep. Angelica Natasha Co and Marikina Rep. Stella Quimbo formally filed an ethics complaint against AGRI Party-list Rep. Wilbert Lee.
On Monday, October 14, the two lawmakers pushed through with the filing of the complaint before the House Committee on Ethics, over Lee’s “aggressive actions” during the budget deliberation hearing last September.

The complaint began with the infamous microphone-grabbing incident. However, Co noted that it was not the only thing that transpired during the plenary debates, as not everything was caught on camera.
Co recalled how Lee threatened to cause a commotion if he wouldn’t get a chance to talk before the hearing’s termination, causing panic and frustration over the two congresswomen.
Meanwhile, Lee said that it was never his intention to hurt or bully anyone. He respects the lawmakers’ rights and will be waiting for the official copy of the complaint so he can follow its process.
