President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. has appointed former Land Transportation Office (LTO) Undersecretary Teofilo 'Jojo' Guadiz III as the new Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) chairperson.
Guadiz’s appointment letter dated Dec. 9 and signed by Marcos was released to the media on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
He took an oath before Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.
Guadiz will be succeeding former LTFRB chief and now Office of the Press Secretary (OPS) officer-in-charge Cheloy Garafil.
Prior to his designation, he previously served as the Department of Transportation (DOTr) Assistant Secretary for the Road Sector.
Guadiz was also the former director of the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) and the Regional Director of the LTO-National Capital Region as well as LTO-Region 1 Ilocos.
