President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. has named former Supreme Court (SC) associate justice Dante Osorio Tiñga as the new acting chairman of the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP).
Malacañang released his appointment paper dated Dec. 9 and signed by Marcos on Friday.
In a Facebook post by his family member Rica Tiñga, Dante was seen taking an oath before Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.
He is also designated as a member of the DBP board of directors, his appointment letter reads.
Dante had served as SC associate justice during the administration of former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo from 2003 to 2009.
He is a former Taguig-Pateros District congressman and former dean of the College of Law of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
