Presidential aspirant Norberto Gonzales said on Tuesday that he will give the scientific and medical community the "lead role" on coming up with policies on how to manage the pandemic.
"Sa organisasyon na hahawak ng threat, ang gusto kong i-emphasize 'yung role ng ating scientific at saka medical community," said Gonzales during the Bakit Ikaw: The Presidential Job Interview.
(To the organization that will handle the threat, I want to emphasize the role of the scientific and medical community.)
"Dapat bigyan natin sila ng isang environment na sila'y mag-uusap, magkakasundo, that they will proceed with their own expertise. Titignan natin ano na nangyari especially during the last two years at sila ang magde-design ng protocol," he added.
(We need to give them an environment where they can talk, agree, that they will proceed with their own expertise. We will see what happened especially during the last two years and they will design the protocol.)

(They will have the lead role on how to manage the response of the country.)
According to Gonzales, the government will also push for agriculture to boost people's immunity, strengthen the pharmaceutical industry, and decongest crowded areas as a response to COVID-19.
"I think these are simple things, but I think it will help us meet the pandemic. Pagsamahin natin 'yan at ang activity na ibibigay sa atin ng mga scientist at saka mga doctor," the presidential aspirant said.
