The Southwest Monsoon, or Habagat, will bring cloudy skies and rain to Luzon and the western section of Visayas on Friday, August 9.
According to PAGASA's 4 a.m. bulletin, the Ilocos Region, Zambales, and Bataan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers due to the Southwest Monsoon.
Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Western Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also caused by the Southwest Monsoon.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Conditions
Northern Luzon will have moderate winds moving from the southwest to west, with coastal waters expected to be moderate.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds moving from the southeast to southwest, with coastal waters expected to be slight to moderate.
The sunrise will be at 5:41 a.m., while sunset will be at 6:22 p.m.
"Mas maaliwalas na panahon ang inaasahan sa Metro Manila at nalalabing bahagi ng bansa, may tsansa pa rin ng biglang buhos ng ulan," said Dan Villamil of PAGASA.
