The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will bring cloudy skies and scattered rains to different parts of the country on Thursday, particularly in Northern and Central Luzon.
"Habagat o ang mahinang southwest monsoon ang nakaaapekto sa Northern at Central Luzon na nagdadala ng kalat-kalat na pag-ulan sa Ilocos Region, Zambales, at Bataan," said weather forecaster Beni Estreja during Magandang Umaga Pilipinas.
Based on PAGASA's 4 a.m. bulletin, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Habagat.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.
For forecast wind and coastal water conditions, the whole country will have light to moderate wind speed moving southeast to southwest with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Sunrise is at 5:41 a.m., while sunset will be at 6:22 p.m.
Tropical Cyclone Outside PAR
Estreja's report said that there is no longer a low-pressure area being monitored northeast of Batanes, while Tropical Storm "Maria" outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility is located 2,230 km east-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon and is moving out of the country.
Tropical Storm Maria is packing maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour with gustiness of up to 80 kilometers per hour, moving east-northeastward at 15 kilometers per hour.
"Sa Metro Manila down to Southern Luzon, Visayas, at Mindanao, maulap na kalangitan ang mararanasan at ngayong umaga may tsansa ng pag-ulan sa Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro, at iba pang bahagi ng bansa," Estreja said.
