The House Committee on Dangerous Drugs, chaired by Surigao del Norte Representative Robert Barbers, approved on Tuesday the measure seeking to improve the well-being and economic welfare of personnel of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Under House Bill (HB) 91, agency officials will be provided good living and working conditions, better terms of employment, and career opportunities to effectively work on their tasks.

In the proposed magna carta, PDEA personnel will be granted compensation and benefits, including basic salary, hazard duty pay, subsistence allowance, leave benefits, and retirement program.

They will also be entitled to annual medical and dental examinations covering complete physical examination, routine laboratory, chest x-ray, and electrocardiography.
