The House Quad Committee has canceled its invitation to Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte (FPRRD) following the rescheduling of the committee hearing, which will now be held on November 21.

"Please be informed that the 11th Joint Hearing, originally scheduled for Wednesday, November 13, 2024, has been moved to Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 9:30 a.m., at the People's Center Building, House of Representatives, Quezon City," Quadcomm leader Rep. Robert Ace Barbers said in a letter dated November 11.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to your schedule, but rest assured that we will keep you informed of any further developments. Thank you for your understanding," the letter added.

Duterte, through his lawyer, had earlier confirmed his attendance at the hearing, noting that he is looking forward to speaking with the committee.

This is in contrast with Duterte's previous statement that he would not attend the House Quad hearing, as he had already shared all his knowledge during a prior Senate hearing.

The hearing revolves around the inquiry into extrajudicial killings under the former President's "war on drugs" campaign during his administration.
