Presidential aspirant and incumbent Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno and his running mate Willie Ong have tested negative for use of cocaine, shabu, marijuana, and other prohibited drugs.
In a Facebook post by the Manila Public Information Office on Thursday, both Moreno, and Ong tested negative for substance abuse after undergoing a voluntary test at the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Aspirants in the upcoming national elections have volunteered to undergo drug testing after President Rodrigo Roa Duterte alluded to one presidential candidate being into cocaine.
Aside from Moreno and Ong, other aspirants like Senator Panfilo Lacson, who is also running for the presidency, and his running-mate Senator Vicente Sotto III also tested negative for illegal drugs.
Former Senator Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. earlier said he tested negative for cocaine use.
Meanwhile, the camp of Senator Manny Pacquiao released his negative drug test results which were taken in July and September this year.
