Isolated rains and thunderstorms will persist over some parts of the country on Sunday, October 6, the PAGASA said.
In its 4:00 AM forecast, PAGASA weather specialist Grace Castañeda, said that rain will be intensified by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), affecting several regions in the country.
According to PAGASA, there is a high chance of isolated rain and thunderstorms persisting over Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The agency's weather forecast said that cloudy skies and scattered rains will be experienced in the Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon. A warning for the possibility of floods and landslides were also given.
A high chance of isolated rains and thunderstorms from early Sunday will be experienced in Metro Manila and CALABARZON. Additionally, partly cloudy to cloudy skies can also be experienced along with the isolated rain showers due to the ITCZ.
While rains and thunderstorms in Northern Luzon are brought by easterlies.
As for Visayas, scattered rains and thunderstorms brought by the ITCZ will also be experienced. While for, Palawan, Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro may expect mostly cloudy to cloudy skies, with scattered rains and thunderstorms brought by the ITCZ.
The whole Mindanao will have cloudy skies, with isolated rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.
The public is advised to take precaution for the possibility of flash floods andd landslides.
