Authorities have apprehended the suspect in the murder of a woman found in an ice chest in Trece Martires City, Cavite.

In an interview, Police Major Jean Alagos, Cavite's Information Office Chief, confirmed that, because of the speedy response of Trece police, they have captured and detained the suspect, alias "Wilson", 35. He was arrested at EDSA, Pasay City.

Alagos declined to reveal Wilson's true name until a formal case has been filed against him, which will be done this afternoon.

The police major disclosed that the victim, Mari Joy Singayan, went to Wilson's house to collect monthly dues for April, which he had failed to pay.
