In a bid to lessen illegal activities or red tape, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Monday issued an order that will hasten the resolution of apprehended cases.

Under Board Resolution No. 008 Series of 2023, the LTFRB expanded the list of the Inspection Report Summons (IRS) apprehensions cases.

Now included in the IRS apprehensions cases are colorum violation, fraud, and falsities such fake and bogus CPC; official Receipt (OR) or Certificate of Registration (CR); plates; stickers, and tags.

According to LTFRB, the order is in line with the Republic Act 11032 or the “Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.”

“We included colorum and fake CPCs in the list of IRS apprehension cases because the commuting public deserves it. By expanding the list of IRS apprehension cases, it also helps the Board reduce the level of case resolution backlogs for speedy delivery of service, which is what RA 11032 is all about,” LTFRB Chairman Atty. Teofilo Guadiz III said.
