A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck near Dalupiri Island in Calayan, Cagayan on Sunday night, October 13, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, hit at 7:13 PM and had a shallow depth of focus at 10 kilometers.

The quake's epicenter was located 3 kilometers north of Dalupiri Island, with coordinates at 19.14°N, 121.20°E.

Despite the moderate magnitude, no damage or injuries have been reported.
