A Korean media outlet reported that MAMAMOO member Hwasa is in talks to sign an exclusive contract with PSY's agency, PNATION.
In response, the agency clarified that the deal is still being discussed and is not yet finalized.
Hwasa, a MAMAMOO member who debuted in 2014, has achieved recognition alongside members Solar, Moonbyul, and Wheein for their hit songs "Um Oh Ah Yeh," "You're the Best," "Décalcomanie," "Yes I am," "Egotistic," and others.
The 27-year-old singer's popularity grew even more when she debuted as a solo artist in 2019 with her first single, TWIT," and went on to release other hit songs such as "Maria" and "I'm a B."
She also joined Hang Out With Yoo's group project, Refund Sisters, which included Lee Hyori, Jessi, and Uhm Jung Hwa, and promoted their debut song, "Don't Touch Me."
She is presently filming with Lee Hyori, Kim Wan Sun, BoA, and Uhm Jung Hwa for the tvN reality series 'Dancing Queens on the Road.'
Meanwhile, it is said that Hwasa’s contract with her label, RBW, will expire at the end of June this year.
