A man was arrested for allegedly killing a security guard at a public school in Tondo, Manila on Monday, August 9.

According to the authorities, the suspect was identified as Christopher Marqueda, 33, who is also administrative aide of the school.

Marqueda reportedly stabbed school guard Ricky Dasco, 50, at Magat Salamat Elementary School at around 5 a.m.

After stabbing the victim, closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage have shown that the suspect was caught carrying items stolen from the school .

A utility worker of the school identified Marqueda through CCTV footage.

The suspect was arrested after he was seen standing at the corner of Quezon and Dandan streets.

Police said that the suspect was linked to the illegal drug trade and thefts in the area.
