President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. and his family joined the 99th birthday celebration of Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile on Monday, February 14.
Marcos was seen together with his wife, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, former first lady Imelda Marcos, and sister Irene Marcos at Enrile's party held at Whitespace Manila in Makati.
Also present in the celebration were Vice President Sara Duterte, Senator Jinggoy Estrada, Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla, and his wife, Cavite 2nd District Rep. Lani Mercardo.
In his speech at the party, the President cited that the celebration of the 99th and 100th years are a celebration of life and considered to be an achievement.
"I think in every person's family or acquaintance...... The celebration of the 99 or in our recent visit the 100th birthday is a celebration of life... And the achievement of absolutely having managed to reach the year 100, the 100th year of their life," Marcos said.
Enrile was the former Justice Secretary and former Secretary of National Defense during the term of the chief executive's father, late former president Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
