President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. visited Catanduanes on Tuesday to personally distribute relief goods to the victims of Typhoon Pepito at the Virac Gymnasium in Virac, Catanduanes.

In a report by RH Ruel Saldico, it was mentioned that President Marcos personally handed over financial aid amounting to Php 50 million to Catanduanes Governor Joseph Cua, intended to assist the towns severely affected in the province.
Marcos expressed solidarity with the thousands of residents who lost their homes, urging government agencies to respond quickly and assist in the recovery efforts for the people of Catanduanes.
Meanwhile, the President was welcomed by officials such as TGP Partylist Rep. Jose Bong Teves Jr., Virac Mayor Samuel Laynes, and several other mayors from the province.

In an exclusive interview with DZRH's Damdaming Bayan, Cua called for donations of construction materials, including roofing sheets, plywood, wood, and other supplies, to help rebuild homes in the province that were damaged by Typhoon Pepito.
He further stated that to date, over 4,000 homes have been recorded as totally damaged, while more than 2,000 have sustained partial damage from the heavy rain and strong winds experienced in the area.
