President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. opted not to comment on Vice President Sara Duterte's recent remarks regarding the alleged threat to exhume the remains of former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. from the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

"I'd rather not," Marcos said after a Mass held in honor of his father at the gravesite on Friday
In an ambush interview with the members of the media at the gravesite of his late father, the president was asked about the matter but chose not to comment.
He further stated that he would only address issues related to Vice President Sara and their relationship as a tandem at another time and opportunity.

After the Mass, PBBM stated in his message that the phrase "rest in peace" for Marcos Sr. can only be fulfilled if he continue doing what his father started.
On October 18, Vice President Duterte stated in a press conference that she had once threatened to exhume the remains of Marcos Sr. and throw them into the West Philippine Sea if the allies of the Marcos family did not stop their actions against her.
In 2016, then-President Rodrigo Duterte, the father of Vice President Duterte, authorized the burial of the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
