President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. on Friday asserted that the national government will not cooperate with the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the investigation into the bloody war against drugs launched under the Duterte administration.

"Basta tapos na ang lahat ng ating pag-uusap sa ICC. Like what we've said in the beginning, we will not cooperate with them in any way, shape, or form. We're done with the ICC," he told the media in an ambush interview.

Marcos said that the country's dealing with ICC is already over since the government will not file any more appeal.

"So, we continue to defend the sovereignty of the Philippines and continue to question the jurisdiction of the ICC in their investigations here in the Philippines," the President added.

Solicitor General Menardo Guevara first bared that the Marcos agreed that the country’s last engagement with ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan’s would be the final involvement with the ICC.

The ICC earlier announced that its members voted for the resumption of the drug war probe as well as the Davao death squad.

The decision was made despite the national government's countless attempt to block the investigation.
