Mary Jane Veloso, who has been on death row in Indonesia since 2010, reunited with her family in the Philippines on Wednesday in an emotional homecoming after 14 years of separation.
Veloso reunited with her family at the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong shortly after her arrival in the country.
Her parents and other relatives waited for the Filipina death row convict at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) but were not able to meet her when she landed.
Upon her arrival at the CIW, she was greeted by her two sons, Mark Daniel and Mark Darren, who brought flowers to welcome her.
Furthermore, her parents, Cesar and Celia, were the next to greet her with a warm embrace.
They were slightly delayed in approaching her as they briefly participated in a program organized by Migrante International, which called for clemency for Veloso.

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) previously stated that Veloso will undergo a mandatory five-day quarantine, followed by 55 days of orientation, diagnostic evaluation, and initial security classification, as per their manual on the admission and confinement of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).
BuCor Director General Gregorio Catapang Jr. stated that once Veloso’s quarantine period ends on December 24, her immediate family will be allowed to visit her in time for Christmas.
