Residents along Recto and Delpan Avenues in Tondo, Manila, are experiencing a water shortage this morning due to a damaged 2.2-meter diameter pipeline belonging to Maynilad Water Services, Inc.

In response to the situation, Manila Water has stepped in to assist with the distribution of water to affected residents while repairs are ongoing.

According to Maynilad’s announcement on Thursday, the pipeline was accidentally damaged by a third-party contractor of the Metro Manila Development Authority.

The water interruption began at 10 p.m. on Thursday and is expected to last until 10 p.m. on September 20, 2024.
