The Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) has successfully launched its now "nationwide" Operation Tulong in San Andres, Manila, on Saturday, November 11.
MBC's flagship station, DZRH, which first introduced Operation Tulong, is joined by FM sister stations, including 90.7 Love Radio Manila, 96.3 Easy Rock, and 101.1 Yes the Best, with the goal of widening the reach of their humanitarian care.
At 6 in the morning, MBC has started its feeding program and medical missions to the residents of San Andres, Manila.

Residents including children and senior citizens have been offered check-ups for vital signs, eye sight, dental care and were given free medicines and health advice.
"Nagpapasalamat po ako sa MBC sa check-up at gamot na binigay nila sa'kin. Makakatulong ito sa gamot sa aking high blood," said Rosalinda Garcia, 59, one of the recipients of the free medicine.
Meanwhile, different DJs from the aforementioned FM radio stations have prepared fun games and prizes for the residents.

The MBC Operation Tulong comprises FM radio nationwide such as Love Radio, Yes the Best, Easy Rock, and Aksyon Radyo stations in La Union, Baguio, Dagupan, Laoag, Lucena, San Fernando, Santiago, Tarlac, Bacolod, Cebu, Iloilo, Tacloban, Butuan, Davao, General Santos City, and Cagayan de Oro.
First introduced in 1978, Operation Tulong is now in its 45th year of maintaining MBC's corporate social responsibility initiative.
Manny Calpito was the first radio anchor for DZRH Operation Tulong who responded to requests from indigent listeners for financial assistance to buy medicines.
Operation Tulong, which is currently headed by news anchor Mae Binauhan, has won various awards for its humanitarian efforts.
Binauhan has constantly worked on feeding programs, medical and dental missions, bloodletting activities, job fairs, and other outreach activities in cooperation with LGUs, medical associations, and private entities.
