A 46-year old male suspect rampaged at a convenience store located along EDSA-Malibay in Pasay City this morning.
Pasay City Police clarified that the commotion made by the 'mentally-ill' suspect inside the convenience stores was not a hostage taking situation.
The suspect grabbed the 22-year old male victim. Using his shirt, the suspect strangled the victim and eventually bitten his face. According to the store's crew, the commotion lasted for 30 minutes.
Witnesses account states that the suspect bit the ears and face of the victim who was crying and shouting at that time.
Over 10 e-bike drivers tried to rescue the victim but the suspect threw bottles and other store products towards them.
The victim managed to escape from the hold of the suspect that led to his arrrest by the police officers who responded on the scene.
The suspect is from Pampanga, according to Pasay Police.
The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital and returned home after receiving first aid.
The convenience store was termporarily closed from customers.
