Miss Universe Tourism 2022 Michelle Dee will give another shot at the country's most coveted crown as she confirms her application for Miss Universe Philippines.
During the media conference for her upcoming show "Mga Lihim ni Urduja," the Kapuso actress shared that she submitted her application for MUPH 2023 on Valentine's Day.
Last year, Dee was one of the strongest contenders to represent the Philippines at the international level and ended up with the Miss Universe Tourism 2022 title behind the crowned winner, Celeste Cortesi.
Despite Cortesi's surprise exit at the Miss Universe 2022 stage, ending the Philippines' 12-year streak of making it to the semifinal round, Dee said that it did not entirely affect her decision to give it a try once more.
She stated that Cortesi already knew about her plan to join the annual pageant again, saying that it is all about not having regrets in life since it will be her last chance this year as she will be turning 28 on April 24.
Dee said that she wants to become a role model and show her supporters to keep fighting.
Before she joined Miss Universe Philippines 2022, Dee represented the country at Miss World 2019, where she ended her journey in the Top 12.
