Prior to bringing the 71st edition of Miss Universe's most coveted crown, Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel's dad, Remigio Bonzon "R-Bon" Gabriel, already knew that her daughter would make it.
Having similarities with Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray's mother, who dreamed of her daughter wearing a crown in a red dress, R-Bon already told people that R'Bonney would win the title before the pageant even started.
Admitted to being a daddy's girl, the newly-crowned Miss Universe said that she inherited most of her dad's endearing qualities, and she also said that she loved her parents equally.
Born in Houston, Texas, to a Filipino dad and an American mother, Dana Walker, R'Bonney grew up in the Woodlands and Sugarlands area, particularly in Missouri City and Friendswood, alongside her three brothers.
Despite being born and raised in the United States, the beauty queen revealed that she would spend her summers with her father's side in the Philippines, which is, after all, the place where her parents got married years before she was born—in Manila.
After her victory in wearing the crown, R'Bonney is now in Indonesia, working on a sponsored shoot for the Miss Universe Organization as part of her Asian tour, which includes visiting Malaysia and hopefully the Philippines.
There were rumors that R'Bonney would be having a homecoming parade in the country.
