Operatives from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and the Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) carried out an operation at an establishment linked to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) activities, resulting in the arrest of foreign nationals.
According to the investigation, the entire building that was raided was occupied by foreign nationals allegedly working without the proper permits.
This prompted the ACG and NCRPO to coordinate with local government units for a thorough inspection of the premises.
The raid was conducted on October 29 under a Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data issued by the Regional Trial Court.
During the operation, operatives confiscated a range of items, including mobile phones, desktop computers, laptops, SIM cards, a Digital Video Recorder (DVR), and a facial recognition attendance machine.
75 foreign nationals from various countries were apprehended and are now undergoing identification and verification of their legal status with the Bureau of Immigration (BI).
NCRPO Regional Director PMGEN Sidney S. Hernia highlighted the significance of the collaboration between the NCRPO and ACG, affirming their shared commitment to eradicating illegal activities in the communities.
