The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (NDRRMC) on Thursday reported that the number of fatalities due to the combined low-pressure area, monsoon, and shear line has soared to 33.
In its 6 am situational monitoring, the NDRRMC said 18 individuals are confirmed dead while 15 are still being validated.
Zamboanga Peninsula has the most confirmed fatalities with 8, followed by Eastern Visayas with 9 deaths.
Seven individuals are still missing while 22 others were injured.
The NDRRMC also reported that a total of 412,339 families or 1,678,440 individuals were affected by the massive rains and floodings driven by the low-pressure area, monsoon, and shear line.
Of these, 48,271 families, or 199,867 individuals stayed inside 512 evacuation centers while 17,040 families or 66,482 individuals were served outside the centers.
About 1,672 houses were damaged — 1,145 partially and 527 totally damaged.
The reported volume of production loss in agriculture is now 3,541.45625 metric tons with an estimated worth of Php 414,347,212.6.
At least 193 infrastructures were reportedly damaged, amounting to Php 206,956,824.68.
