Motorists are advised to be ready for another increase in fuel prices in the upcoming week, making it the fifth consecutive week of rising costs for diesel and kerosene and the fourth week for gasoline.
As per the projections of UNIOL, fuel prices are expected to rise starting from August 8 to August 14, 2023.
Diesel prices are anticipated to increase by approximately P3.70 to P3.90 per liter, while gasoline prices are predicted to go up by P0.20 to P0.40 per liter.
The first day of August had already witnessed a substantial pump price hike ranging from P2 to P3.
According to the Department of Energy's oil price monitoring as of August 2, these adjustments have led to a year-to-date net increase of P11 per liter for gasoline and P3.10 per liter for diesel.
