The Philippine National Police (PNP) believes that the motive behind the killing of the online seller couple may not be solely related to business but could also involve a personal aspect.
In a report by Edniel Parrosa, PNP spokesperson PBGen. Jean Fajardo said that investigators have uncovered "good" and "significant leads" pointing to those behind the crime.
The couple was married with one child and ran a beauty products business.
Police Regional Office 3 said on Monday that they have already identified the mastermind behind the killing.
On October 4, two men on a motorcycle were seen trailing the victims' vehicle in Barangay Sto. Rosario. Due to heavy traffic, the suspects got off the motorcycle and approached the victims' vehicle.
The suspects shot Arvin and Lerma Lulu, then quickly fled the scene on their motorcycle.
The couple’s six-year-old child and a relative were also in the vehicle but were fortunately unharmed.
