According to the authorities, the suspect was identified as Zenaida Losloso, 49, from Lucena City.
In the initial report of NAIA-IADITG commander Gerald Javier, the passenger arrived Thursday night from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, aboard Ethiopian Airlines flight Et-644, which landed at NAIA terminal 3.
The BOC discovered illegal drugs weighing 3,454 grams with a street value of P18,306,200, which were stored under the luggage with the suspect's clothes when it passed through the initial x-ray machine, customs examiner, and NAIA-IADITG.
The suspect said that she did not know that there were drugs in her luggage, adding that she just met a fellow Pinay online who offered her a free trip.
In addition, she has been offered P100,000 in exchange for sending an item from Ethiopia to the Philippines.
The illegal drugs have been turned over by customs to NAIA-IADITG for further investigation, while the suspect is facing a charge of violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
