The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has declared typhoon Carina a severe tropical storm on Sunday evening affecting several areas in the country.
According to Badrina, Carina was spotted at 420 km east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. It has maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 125 kilometers per hour.
