The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) expects that Angat Dam will continue to experience an increase in water level in the next two to three days.
PAGASA hydrologist Elmer Caringal mentioned on Monday, May 27, that the water level in Angat Dam had already risen from 178.80 meters to 179.79 meters due to the rains brought by Typhoon Aghoon.
However, Caringal laments that the water level in Angat Dam remains below the minimum normal water level of 180 meters.
"Yung ibang tubig na galing sa mga bundok natin na dulot nitong si Typhoon Aghon is unti-unti na siyang bababa," Caringal explained during DZRH's Damdaming Bayan.
Caringal said that the deluge caused by the tropical cyclone also increased the water levels of the Ambuklao, Binga, and Pantabangan dams.
PAGASA also monitored a drop in the water levels of Magat and San Roque dams.
