The Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Sunday said it will also comply with the Department of Transportation's order to restrict flight access to unvaccinated individuals.
"Simula bukas, January 17, ipatutupad na ng Philippine Airlines ang kautusan ng Department of Transportation, hinggil sa 'no vaxx, no flight' policy," said PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna.

Villaluna, however, bared some exemptions to this rule, such as those unvaccinated with medical conditions and those unvaccinated who need to undergo a medical procedure.
"If you are unvaccinated but there is an urgent need to travel … then you can travel for as long as you have a medical certificate," she said.
Children are also exempted from the vaccine mandate, said the spokesperson, adding that those below 11 years old must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated parent or guardian, who would present their birth certificate.
"Birth certificate will be an important requirement to prove na 11 years old and below yung bata. But hindi na kailangang mag-present ng medical certificate," she explained.

According to Villaluna, the policy will only be imposed as long as Metro Manila stays under Alert Level 3, and will be scrapped once the region is downgraded to a lower alert level.
"So humihingi po tayo ng pang-unawa sa ating mga mananakay that this is a form of safeguarding the health and wellness of all passengers of all airlines in the Philippine aviation industry," she said.
