President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. has named officials of the Cybercrimes Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
On Wednesday, Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles announced the appointments of Alexander Ramos as the CICC’s executive director, and Mary Rose Magsaysay as its deputy executive director.
The following officials were also appointed:
- Patricia May Abejo – Director IV
- Rajun Hosillos – Director IV
- Alvin Miro Navarro – Director IV
DICT chief Ivan Uy previously vowed to ramp up the country’s cybersecurity and cybercrime detection.
"We want to improve our cybersecurity, napakaraming instances po ng mga breaches ng mga website natin and at the same time on the cybercrime detection, I’m sure marami po tayong mga kababayan nakakatanggap ng mga text, ng mga cyber scams," he said in a media briefing.
